From Fixed to Fabulous: How I Learned to Embrace My Inner Growth Guru

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” - Albert Einstein Ever felt like you’re stuck in a rut, unable to move forward? Trust me, I’ve been there. But then I discovered the magic of a growth mindset, and it was like finding the secret level in a video game. Suddenly, life had new challenges, new rewards, and yes, a few more boss battles. Let me take you on a journey from fixed to fabulous and share how you can unlock your inner growth guru. I created this image using Copilot AI Understanding Growth vs. Fixed Mindset First things first, let’s break down the jargon. A fixed mindset is like that stubborn old computer that refuses to update. It believes abilities are static and unchangeable. On the other hand, a growth mindset is like the latest smartphone, always ready to learn, adapt, and improve. It thrives on challenges and sees failures as opportunities to grow. Benefits of a Growth Mindset Adopting a growth mindset is like upgrading ...

Falling down.. Get back up and never give up

Most of the people in this world go through a rough patch in their life once (or some like me more than once). It is these times that make or break one's character. I have had my fair share of these rough patches (one can say I am still going through one at this very moment). There will be many times where you just want to give up and go live in a hole till the storm passes but speaking from experience, it is best to face everything face-to-face. There will only be one outcome, i.e. either you will be stronger or know what not to do. "When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up." - Les Brown [I don't own this image] When disappointment or rejection knocks you down, get up and go again, because out of our greatest rejection comes our greatest direction. If you read the life story of Oprah Winfrey or Steve Jobs , you will find out that neither of them had an easy-going...

Building your own spider-web

I know it has been a while since I last shared my thoughts. I have been busy (couldn't think of what to write and share). It is really difficult to think of things when there are so many new games being released (like Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raiders' new instalments). I choose to write about the importance of 'networking'. To me networking is like a spider making it is web, every line is interconnected, its strong/steady and long-lasting. What does it really mean and what is my take on this. In a literal meaning 'Networking is about developing long-term relationships for mutual gain and creating a lasting impression with people so that they think of you positively when an opportunity arises'.   [I don't own this image] Why Network? In my opinion, one of the most beneficial aspects of networking is creating awareness . If your goal is to get a new job, expand your business and/or gain market share, awareness is an absolute necessity. ...

How It All Began

Imagine you are walking down the street you have thousand times already only to realize that you have never been here before... freaky isn't it! Well, you can say the same thing about how I became a Business Analyst. Since I was little, I wanted to become a famous game designer who had games like Tomb Raider, Thief, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Call of Duty, Halo, Modern Warfare and Max Payne... this is not possible in reality but you can't blame someone for dreaming big! So how did I end up being a Business Analyst instead of living my dream... well for starters I did my bachelor's in software engineering (4 years degree) only to find out that to do masters in gaming designing, I needed a 4 years degree in gaming designing. Now who in their right frame of mind would want to study 4 more years to get another bachelor's degree, I surely wasn't going to. Anyways, since that didn't work out. My second dream was to become a world famous hacker (much...
