Looking back at my last post, it has been almost 3.5 years – can’t believe so
much time has passed. Just like majority of the world population, I had
disappeared in the robotic routine of this world that I forget why I started
writing in the first place. This blog was my way of sharing my life’s journey
with you – my fellow earthlings. Thinking maybe someone out there somewhere
would find all my blabbering informative and life changing.
I would still have been stuck in my routine and blog would have
had real spider webs on it, had it not been for a special friend (let’s give
her a cool nickname, White Dragon Lady). She, in your own way, pestered me
about why I stopped writing, and it got me thinking, why indeed. We all strive
for a better life… more money, more fame, more materialistic things that we
lose sight of one of the more precious things in this world… being a good human
being.
“Be a
good human being, a warm hearted, affectionate person. That is my fundamental
belief.” – Dalai Lama
We are all so busy living our lives that we have forgotten how to
be human beings. For us time is just 24 hours in a day to get through our daily
robotic routines.

Why has it become so hard to treat others with love, respect, and
dignity? Why has money and success become the most important thing in the
world? I remember the time when people came first. When how well-connected one
was with their family and friends mattered the most.
My message I would like to communicate here is for all of us to try to
focus on spending time on being a better version of ourselves. Be a person your
future generations can be proud off. Start with today and become a reason for
someone smiling today. Spending time with your family, friends and even some
alone ‘me’ time helps one heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. If we are
emotionally in a good place, we send out happy and positive vibes outwards in
the world. Once you start treating others with love and respect, you will notice
the difference in few people’s behaviour (not everyone, so don’t quote me on
this).
I’ll end the post with some food for thought words from The Black
Eyed Peas:
People killin' people dyin'
Children hurtin', I hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preachin'?
Would you turn the other cheek again?
